Upper Grade Rotation
Upper Grade Rotations are once a week 50 Minute classes.
Your student will be creating Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons. 2:20-3:10 and 3:10-4:00. YOU are always welcome and Neeeded.
We always start class with a 10 minute warm up exercise to help us get centered and remind ourselves of what the “creative zone” feels like. Students should always have their sketch book for class!!! I have a few available if they’ve lost or finished their sketch books.
I teach from an Art Education view point which means that not only do we do fun art, but will also explore art history and aesthetics and learn to think critically about art and our own creations.
3rd and 4th Graders will be working on transitioning to more sophisticated art–Observational work and completing compostions.
5th and 6th will also be working on this but will be given more and more freedom to direct their study to areas that energize them and that they choose to invest in.
